Curriculum breve Professor Giampiero Campanelli (SHORT VERSION)
Giampiero Campanelli, Rome 3rd August 1960, enrolled at the first years of the course of degree in Medicine and Surgery, at the University of Naples during the academic year 1979/80.
Graduated at 24 during the 6th year course on July 24th 1985, with 110/110 with honours, and a noteworthy from the examination commission.
Specialized on Nov. 6th 1990 with a dissertation on “Treatment of hepatic metastasis of the colon-rectum” with 70/70 and honours, University of Milan.
He started his surgical career at the 5th Surgical Clinic of the University of Milan at the Luigi Sacco Hospital (1985-1992).
From 1992 to 2000 university researcher at the 1st Surgical Clinic at the University of Milan at the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico of Milan.
From 2000 to 2006 Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Milan at the Surgical Sciences Department of the University of Milan , at the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico of Milan.
University Professor of the Specialization School of General Surgery, University of Milan from 1985 to 2005.
Since 2006, Full Professor of General Surgey of the Insubria University of Varese.
Since June 1st 2007, Chief of General Surgery II of the Surgical Sciences Department at the University of Varese at the Multimedica Hospital in Castellanza.
Operating Surgeon and teacher of surgical technique during the humanitarian mission organized by ILAC (Institute for Latino American Concern), Creighton University and AHS (American Hernia Society) in the Dominican Republic on November 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011.
Surgeon during the humanitarian mission Hernia Project, organized by the European Hernia Society, Rotary Foundation and CNR, Ghana, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.
